Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) is a temporary housing solution designed for participants who are waiting for their long-term accommodation to become available. MTA is typically covered for up to 90 days and is funded under the Core Supports category. It provides a safe and stable environment while you wait for your permanent home, whether that’s Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Supported Independent Living (SIL), or after home modifications are completed.

What is Medium Term Accommodation?

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) is a transitional housing option funded by the NDIS to provide temporary accommodation while you wait for your long-term home to be ready.

Who is eligible for MTA?

NDIS participants who have a confirmed long-term housing plan but need temporary accommodation while waiting for their permanent home are eligible for MTA.

What does MTA funding cover?
